Cupola on Uppingham School Cricket Pavilion

It’s not just houses that we work on!

Take a look at this unique and very complex cupola we just finished on the top of  the Uppingham School Cricket Pavilion. We used an electric hoist in order to lift the reed 50 foot into the air.

A cupola for those that don’t know is a dome like feature that you see on the tops of buildings and are used as a lookout.  They also act as a way of helping air flow, so you see these on barns to help dry the hay inside.

For a small feature this certainly needed a number of heads putting together!
